lit circle thread

Our lit circles were very successful. Even though there wasnt a decided page number, we all read to the same page so we all new what we were talking about. We all had good connections and we could really relate to the book. We were all on the same plane. This book is confusing to follow but I think we did a good job handling it. One part of the lit circle that got my attention was when Ben Hall said "I dont think i can relate to this at all." It made me think that this book is really hard to relate too. But I finally decided on one to think about and relate to was my relationships and the struggle that this chinese boy has with his "freind."

my opinion on "give a boy a gun"

School shootings, guns, and bullies. If you like what im saying then I have the book for you. The book that I read is called Give a Boy a Gun. I had many feelings and connections about this book.
This book, Give a Boy a Gun, is about two children that have been bullied almost all thier lives. They both have thought about suicide and death. But just not have had the courage to do anything about it. Now they said lets do it and they hold a school shooting. They torcher one of the boys and then end up killing themselves. This book just goes to show you to not mess with people, because it might come back to bite you.
Most people feel that Give a boy a gun is a great book but I didnt like it. The book was so repetative.It reminded me of the book She said Yes because it too talks about school shootings. It told the same story over and over. I cant stand the sight or sound or even reading about killing. This book is about two boys that were bullied thier whole lives. So one day they decided to do something about it. It has to do with bullies, guns, and suicide. So if you like books that have to do with school shootings, go for it.
